Lately I’ve been in a bit of a Shakespeare kick! Wachaa! It’s been pretty intense. To make it even crazier, I found a few playlists on Spotify that has audiobooks of almost all of his works. Whenever I’m working, sitting on the cold side of the yard, or just doing laundry, I just pop on Spotify to listen to some of his works. Neat, huh?? I sometimes follow along in my own book too so I can just focus without any distractions. But listen, I am not a photographic memory person. Neither do I memorize so…no, I don’t do that. Let’s leave it at that. No, I will not take any questions.
Anywho, I’m reading As you Like it currently and let me tell you, it takes me a minute to get into Shakespeare sometimes. And by minute, I mean months. How about you? I mean, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, etc., the ones people usually know are easier for me but not this one for some reason. Perhaps I just need to sit down and read. Now there’s an idea. I better do that quick because if it takes me too long to get into a book, I usually stop reading it or just take 10 1/2 months to read it.
I found this gem on etsy and think it is beautiful! I just am in love with old books and the wonderful notes that someone leaves behind. This one is a 1939 edition and I just wanna smell it! Anyone else have that instinct to just grab a book off the shelf and smell it for a good minute to 3 hours? Because sometimes 2 hours isn’t long enough.
